FLYING OVER THE PYRENEES - THE CERDAGNE VALLEY IN A HOT-AIR BALLOON

Fly over the Pyrenees and discover one of Europe's largest and most impressive valleys.
In order to find the "right winds", the balloon flies between 2000 and 4000 metres altitude, but also at low altitude so that you can enjoy the sumptuous Pyrenean landscapes. During the flight, the pilot will introduce you to the principles of balloon navigation, the use of GPS and radio communication with air traffic control.

An exceptional show!

The take-off site is located in Cerdagne, in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees, just a few kilometres from the Franco-Spanish border. Its formidable mountain range is surrounded by the Sierra del Cadí (western half), the Serra de Moixeró and other eastern peaks such as the Tossa de Alp, el Puigllançada and the Pedraforca massif.

To get there by car, allow around 2 hours from Barcelona (150 km), 1 hour from Andorra (70 km), 2.5 hours from Girona (140 km), 1 hour 40 minutes from Perpignan (170 km) and 2 hours 10 minutes from Toulouse (170 km).

This type of flight requires specific weather conditions, with prevailing winds from the north. In the event of the flight being cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions, we will propose a new date.

Your flight programme
(allow 1 full day):

• Welcome at the meeting point and transfer to the take-off site in a 4x4 vehicle.

• Safety briefing and weather briefing. Balloon inflation, in which everyone can take part

• Boarding early in the morning, shortly after sunrise, for a 1-hour free flight.

• On landing, "toast of the Aeronauts" and presentation of "balloonist" diplomas

• Return to the meeting point in our 4x4 vehicles

Important information
This flight takes place at high altitude, often at low temperatures. Please bring warm clothing, gloves, sunglasses and sun cream. To make the most of this adventure, it is also essential to be in good health and to refrain from drinking alcohol the day before. During the flight, we recommend that you keep well hydrated by drinking fruit juices and water. We do not recommend this activity for people with respiratory problems.
